We Honor Childhood

Parkwood Playschool opened its doors in 2003 with a simple mission: to provide progressive, developmentally appropriate, child-centered education to families in our community.

For over two decades, our classrooms have been places where children learn through play, curiosity, creativity, and meaningful relationships. We believe childhood is not something to rush through—it is something to be honored.
Then, the world changed.

When the pandemic prevented children from coming to school, we asked ourselves a simple question:

What if we could bring Parkwood Playschool into every home?

That question inspired a new chapter.
We began designing complete learning experiences that made it easy for parents to continue their child's education at home—without spending hours planning activities, buying supplies, printing worksheets, or preparing materials.

What started as a response to an extraordinary moment has become a lasting part of who we are.

Today, more than 10,000 Parkwood learning boxes have found their way into homes across the country, helping families learn, play, and grow together.

Today, Parkwood Playschool is no longer limited by four walls.

Through our Preschool at Home programs and Adventure Boxes, we're bringing the Parkwood experience to families wherever they are.

Every box reflects the same philosophy that has guided us since 2003: Developmentally Appropriate. Child-Centered. Play-Based.
Because meaningful learning doesn't depend on where it happens.

It depends on how children experience it.
We Honor Childhood.
